TERRITORY MANAGER

Reporting to the Ontario Sales Director, the Territory Manager will play a critical in-market role executing tactics to achieve our suppliers’ targets.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for delivering upon regional targets such as revenue, volume, market share, points of distribution, and inventory turns
  • Develop positive relationships with licensed retail store managers and employees based on respect, professionalism and accountability
  • Execute on daily/weekly route plan
  • Be an ambassador for our portfolio
  • Leverage trade materials to educate our retail stakeholders on partner brands an their unique points of difference
  • Identify opportunities for merchandising programs at store level
  • Oversee/execute/measure retail programs, including distribution drives, education programs, and display opportunities
  • Utilize Velvet’s CRM tool to keep accurate records, including contact lists, route plans, call frequency and performance tracking against predetermined KPIs
  • Provide competitive analysis for brand performance and competition through ongoing market research and analysis
  • Support producers with participation at trade shows and private events

Qualifications & Experience

  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • 2 – 5 years experience in sales, preferably in a regulated industry (Ex. Pharma, Beverages, Alcohol, Tobacco, Lottery/Gaming), with a focus on retail customers
  • Previous experience supporting the execution of new product launches
  • Leverage curiosity and effective inquiry to understand customer needs, solve problems with creativity and influence with authority
  • A passion for learning and sharing knowledge
  • Is excited by joining a young company in this new and evolving indutry
  • Displays an entrepreneurial spirit and is highly self-motivated
  • Exceptional time management
  • Accountable and with a high professional integrity, delivering output with minimal supervision
  • Bachelor degree, preferably in commerce/marketing, communications or science
  • Own a late model can and a valid driver’s licence (vehicle allowance and mileage support provided)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel, PowerPoint, One Note and Microsoft Teams
