Reporting to the National Key Account Director, the Regional Key Account Manager will be responsible for the implementation of the territorial sales plan to maximize sales volume and product distribution. The assigned territory for this position is British Columbia to Manitoba – based out of Alberta.
Role and responsibilities:
• Sell all Velvet Management portfolio to a defined list of regional key accounts.
• Develop value-based relationships with key buyers, category managers, and marketing departments.
• Work with CRM and internal dashboards to find listing opportunities and analyse programs success.
• Create consultative presentations that help achieve Velvet and our suppliers’ priorities while offering value to our customers.
• Build and present category assortment plans using category data to identify listings and volume opportunities.
• Grow Velvet listing base and distribution to increase market share.
• Build and pitch creative in store programs to drive brand awareness and sell through of Velvet products.
• Track and publish performance reviews to Sales Director and Portfolio Manager
• Communicate account priorities/opportunities to Sales Directors and team to ensure flawless execution.
• Collaborate with Sales Directors to forecast programming and ensure accurate inventory levels.
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor degree in Business Administration or equivalent
• Two (2) years of experience managing Key Account relationships or two (2) years of experience in the cannabis industry

Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Field Sales Manager (FSM) will be responsible for leading and managing the Ontario sales team. Using coaching, training, and development of the sales team (5 territory managers), the FSM ensures the implementation of the strategies and initiatives defined for our brands.
Responsibilities:
• Hire, train, on-board all new territory managers.
• Develop and oversee daily/weekly route planning.
• Develop and implement sales strategies, tactics, and operational plans for sales and distribution of cannabis products.
• Manage key customer relationships and actively participate in closing strategic opportunities
• Develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales initiatives and goals.
• Identify and maximize sales objectives by territory.
• Provide competitive analysis for brand performance and competition through ongoing market research and analysis.
• Monitor and review expense reports to effectively manage the T&E budget.
• Lead the execution on key sales initiatives such as brand launches, promotional programs, distribution drives.
• Track, rank, publish results on all key initiatives.
• Ensure discipline and implementation of the CRM tool.
• Collaborate on strategy for sales growth in physical retail and digital retail spaces.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in business administration.
• Three (3) years of sales management and coaching experience, leading high performing teams.
Required skills:
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Power Point
• Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM

Role And Responsibilities
Reporting to the Commercial Sales Manager – Western Canada, the Sales Coordinator will play a critical role in aligning the Commercial and Field sales teams to achieve our suppliers’ targets. This is an opportunity to ensure our leading Cannabis Sales force has everything they need to be successful while supporting the broader Velvet group and our LP client base. We are looking for an individual who is ready take ownership, finding efficiencies in workflow processes and passionate about the Cannabis industry.
Qualifications & Experience
Velvet is a privately-owned company with a brokerage/agency model, representing Licensed Producers in the Cannabis industry in Canada. We represent our LP’s products at all levels of selling and marketing to government buyers and private retailers. We are looking for industry leaders to join us as we work to build the best cannabis agency in the industry.
As a portfolio manager you will report directly to the National Portfolio Brand Director and will act as the primary point of contact with the suppliers and the marketing agencies. We are looking for a person who loves challenges, is well educated when it comes to the cannabis industry and thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities:
• Manage a portfolio of partner brands. Act as the key contact in Canada for these partners while building harmonious, value-based, business relationships with them.
• Develop and implement annual business plans in collaboration with the sales team to achieve expected sales and revenue targets. Continuously review results, implementing corrective measures where necessary.
• Compile and organize information from the suppliers for calls for tenders.
• Develop and execute sales & marketing tools as defined in the marketing plan and build presentation to communicate to the sales team
• Assist with the organization of different events (training, industry events, etc…)
• Coordinate all product & logistical information updates (ex. Packaging change, technical sheets, etc…) and complete corresponding paper work.
• Analyse category data, gather competitive intelligence, and identify key consumer and marketing trends in order to make recommendations that will foster partner growth.
• Assist the director with building presentations (product launch plan, retailers’ meetings, category review etc.)
• Possibility to manage a Marketing Coordinator
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing specialization or equivalent.
• Five (5) years of experience in marketing or trade marketing.
• Experience in cannabis or the alcoholic beverage industry an asset.
