ONTARIO SALES COORDINATOR

Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, the Sales Coordinator will be the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for the Provincial Sales Team. Ensuring accuracy of records, efficiencies, collaboration, implementation of tools, deployment of marketing material, planning and documentation of sales meetings. This is an opportunity to help ensure our leading Cannabis sales force has everything they need to be successful, while supporting the broader Velvet group and our LP client base. If dotting i’s and crossing t’s, taking ownership of your work, helping other by finding efficiencies, and cannabinoids are your passion, then this is for you!

Responsibilities:

• The Sales Coordinator will be responsible for cohesive communication across the sales team.
• Populate product tender documents for OCS submissions, track and submit ancillary materials (Ex. GS1 images, case, and unit labels) to ensure listings are accurate and efficiently processed in partnership with board and our LP Partners.
• Manage internal product masters & pricing charts.
• Ensure orders are received and documented within the appropriate time frames.
• Will keep a high-level overview of the province’s product supply within the distribution warehouses.
• Extract and accurately house provincial sales data on a weekly basis and make sure it is accessible to the Sales and Portfolio team.
• Create and maintain an up-to-date budget tracker for the province.
• Monitor and update customer profile lists (independent and provincial banners).
• Organize, modify, and adjust product and customer account information within the CRM platform (EZ Focus).

• Deploy the sales tools necessary for the sales team.
• Ensure relevant marketing material is created, printed, and shipped withing a timely manner.
• Manage the teams group calendar for conference calls, co-travel dates, provincial meetings, national meetings.
• Receive inbound leads and delegate to the appropriate team member.

• Help coordinate logistics for events, tradeshows, and sponsorship programs.
• Collaborate with the Provincial Manager in planning sales activities and executions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

• A detail oriented and technologically savvy individual who is comfortable working in a data driven environment -yes, that means Pivot Tables-.
• Proven track record supporting a team in achieving sales quotas and in-store condition KPI’s.
• Previous experience communicating with key account contacts and crown corporations.

• Previous experience using and adjusting a sales focused CRM.
• Previous experience in order taking and overview of inventory management.
• Previous success supporting a sales team, keeping all members organized and up to date on sales tools.

• Experience in Beverage Alcohol or relatable industries is an asset.
• Proven track record of working remotely and independently.
• Previous experience (3+) in Sales Administration, Office Management, Team Lead, Sales Collaborator, but open to newbies with the right profile and demonstrated skills-set.

Other Details:

This is a full-time role based out of Ontario, ideally in Toronto or GTA, but can be flexible on geography for the right candidate, with the understanding post-COVID, travel may be required from time to to time.

PORTFOLIO BRAND MANAGER

Velvet is a privately-owned company with a brokerage/agency model, representing Licensed Producers in the Cannabis industry in Canada. We represent our LP’s products at all levels of selling and marketing to government buyers and private retailers. We are looking for industry leaders to join us as we work to build the best cannabis agency in the industry.

As a portfolio manager you will report directly to the National Portfolio Brand Director and will act as the primary point of contact with the suppliers and the marketing agencies. We are looking for a person who loves challenges, is well educated when it comes to the cannabis industry and thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of partner brands. Act as the key contact in Canada for these partners while building harmonious, value-based, business relationships with them.
• Develop and implement annual business plans in collaboration with the sales team to achieve expected sales and revenue targets. Continuously review results, implementing corrective measures where necessary.
• Compile and organize information from the suppliers for calls for tenders.
• Develop and execute sales & marketing tools as defined in the marketing plan and build presentation to communicate to the sales team
• Assist with the organization of different events (training, industry events, etc…)
• Coordinate all product & logistical information updates (ex. Packaging change, technical sheets, etc…) and complete corresponding paper work.
• Analyse category data, gather competitive intelligence, and identify key consumer and marketing trends in order to make recommendations that will foster partner growth.

Education and Experience:

The Territory Manager will play a critical in-market role executing tactics to achieve our suppliers’ targets in Western Ontario (ex. Tri-Cities, Golden Horseshoe, London, Windsor, Hamilton, etc.)

  • Accountable for delivering upon regional targets such as revenue, volume, market share, points of distribution, and inventory turns
